Welcome to the kitchen table of Feeling Puckish.
Feeling Puckish is a food blog by me, Owen Leewis, where I hope to talk about food; food I’ve made, and food I’ve experienced in and around the Midwest (and beyond).
I, my wife, and occasionally friends, love to travel near and far trying classic dishes, twists on those classics, and from time to time off the wall local delicacies.
As we live in the Chicago-land region, most of the posts will be centered around here, with the focus being on affordable food that everyone can enjoy: from cafes and restaurants, the blossoming food truck culture, and my search for the perfect poutine (a delicious combination of fries, gravy, and cheese curds).
In this blog we hope to share some of the great food finds, show that the Midwest is not a foodie fly over region, and hopefully we’ll be able to interview some of these restaurateurs and learn about the people behind the food.
We’ll be exploring anywhere from the Minnesota’s Twin Cities to St. Louis, Missouri, or wherever our taste buds take us. We’re always open to suggestions, so if you have a place you’d like us to check out, drop me a line at puckpoutineATgmailDOTcom. You can also follow me on Twitter @puckpoutine or on Pinterest .
So pull up a chair and let’s dig in.
